I am having tons of ideas at the moment, to the point where I wake up at 1am with an idea in my head, not so good!!!

All digi stamps and card kits are available in the store now.

This is my bracket easel card Tea Time kit

This is my Petal Pixies square easel card kit

My own shaped greetings

I have wanted to design digitally for ages but am no good at drawing :( I have however had a go at making some greeting sentiments. I have collected little poems and sayings over the years that I have found and took these from my extensive list so I don't claim to have made them up but I did make them into these images using my other collection from my obsession of collecting fonts!! What do you think?

I also made some into shapes.

House building!

My little grand-daughter is getting over this awful bug doing the rounds & she was off school again today, so we had a crafting session to cheer her up a bit. I gave her this Doodlebug house and helped her to build and decorate it today. We had such fun and she was really good doing it, she added her own touches of the number on the door and the letterbox! It is for her to give as a gift and I am sure it will be loved! I know I would love one! My 3 yr old grandson was helping too, learning to cut with scissors and he has inherited his big brother's Cuttlekids that I bought a few years back and it is so sweet watching him with it, he knows exactly what to do!!!

The BEST news!!!!

I had to share this with you I am soooo proud of my Laura. She has worked really hard at college especially these last 2 years doing her beauty and spa course. She went for an interview for No.1 Traveller on Tuesday for a position as a spa therapist at the new lounge opening in the North Terminal at Gatwick in May, she just got the call this afternoon to offer her the job!!!! This is her first 'proper' job doing what she loves most of all and the interview was very intense and they surprised her and asked her to do a treatment during the interview but she remained calm and sailed through it. I cannot believe it, she so deserves this, well done my darling. Hope it is everything you want it to be. xxx

Hanglar cuties!

I had to use these little cuties and popped them on a bench together! I haven't made it into a card yet but coloured it using a combination of Copics, Promarkers and Prismas. You may well see them again on a card soon!!

New laptop cooling tray and fab new mouse!

My lovely husband just took me to PC World and bought me a laptop cooling tray. I am paranoid about it overheating with it being used so much and it is fantastic, great idea wish I had got one sooner. I also got a fabulous wireless mouse to use with my laptop as I am of the old school and prefer to use a mouse rather than the touch pad!!

No cards again today and tomorrow we are off to Earls Court to the Place In The Sun Live exhibition, really looking forward to that.

Hopefully I will have some new ideas that I have been working on to share next week and will have my Grand Calibur by then too, wish it would hurry up!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Antique Rose Hanglar

This didn't really end up how I imagined and the colours are not my usual picks with green in them but I love the set so finished it! I framed the sweet little Hanglar girl with a frame from the Antique Victorian Rose digi set and used the matching papers. The gorgeous roses are sprayed with glitter although it doesn't really show. The sentiment is computer generated and coloured in photoshop and the little flower charm is from The Ribbon Girl. The gorgeous rose ribbon is from Sarah's cards. The inside is decorated with matching papers.

A couple of tips for you this morning - MS Punches and printer ink!

I love it when people share finds and tips on their blogs and today I have 2 of my own for you!

Firstly whilst browsing You Tube I came across this video showing how to make different borders with your MS punches to get more out of them by measuring the pattern, doubling it and then punching both sides of a strip of paper this width to get a really lovely decoration.  I tried it late last night with my String Lace punch and love it! Some of the other punches make fab patterns, give it a go. You can also punch circles with the corner punch out of the PATG sets and make great doilies for matting.

This is what I ended up with
Not a great picture but you get the idea!

My 2nd tip is for printer ink. The dreaded minefield of compatibles and refilling yourself. I have researched and researched this and the Kodak inks are very cheap in comparison but my HP printer which I love is so expensive to run but I found a solution at last! This site sells the inks in 100ml bottles and the caps and needles called SquEasyFill  to fit which avoids the need for syringes. I have just filled my 2 blacks and printed and they are great. It is really easy to do although apparently Epson printers aren't so easy :( but I can highly recommend this site. Martin gets straight back to you with any questions you pose and the service is fab.

One thing I have discovered is that you should not leave the cartridge until it is empty, keep checking them and fill them regularly and you should be fine. I needed 5 inks and with the Squeasyfill tops they cost me under £25 and will fill the cartridges lots and lots of times so in comparison this is THE cheapest way in my opinion.
