Mini haul from the Craft Barn

Laura is working in Lingfield at the moment so I have an excuse to pop in to the Craft Barn and made a mini haul today of a Martha Stewart Around the Page punch set and some lovely Bo Bunny double sided papers to make more Finnish Stars with and a gorgeous pack of pearl clusters.

Christmas Crafting Session

I spent a wonderful afternoon Christmas crafting with the grandchildren and some of my kids this afternoon. We decorated ornaments and made paper chains and this is Ryan's Santa wall hanging. He painted and glittered it beautifully. He is an extremely talented young man who follows in my crafting footsteps and we share a love of all things crafty!! My grandaughter is showing signs of following us too and made an equally gorgeous Santa herself. I am a lucky Nanna!

Fairy Lights

I love the Gorjuss images and this little girl is called Fairy Lights. Her fairy lights are silver Stickles which sadly don't show up too well in the bad light this evening.

Christmas Star

I made this Finnish Star for a Christmas decoration. Going to my daughter's this afternoon to make more with the Grandchildren! They are so simple but effective and great fun to make. I decorated the centre with cute little FF bear images but something 3 dimensional would be lovely and I am off to get some double sided Christmas paper as well!

Royal Wedding

So the Royal Wedding is going to be on the 29th April 2011 and will be a UK Bank Holiday. We will be in Florida then and it will be interesting to view it from the American point of view.

They are a lovely couple and I wish them all the best for their future.

New digi images

Sapphire coloured in Photoshop

Sapphire coloured with Copics

After buying quite a few from Make It Crafty yesterday I had to have a go at colouring in. First I printed Sapphire the fairy out imposed on top of the tree house already coloured and then I coloured her in using Copics and then coloured her in using Photoshop and imposed her on the tree house again.

Yay! My crafting mojo is returning!!

I had to store or sell a lot of my crafting stuff because of space issues, having to turn our dining room/my craft room into another bedroom and with that and my nail business and other things going on, my crafting took a back seat.

However I am finding it is slowly returning. I got myself a handy fold up table so can sit in front of the TV and play but my son will be moving out with his girlfriend early next year so the box room becomes mine at last! I can get all my stuff out of storage and combine that with my nail table etc and have my own space!

Jamie and Nigella!!

Laura loves Jamie Oliver's 30 min meals programme
and I like Nigella so she and I made lemony pan fried
Salmon with cherry tomato couscous from Nigella
and Jamie's fantastic Tuscan salad as served
at his famous Fifteen restaurant in London! It
was out of this world and I can highly recommend all
of it.
