PP Sweet Flourishes

I just love the new sweet flourishes from Liz and this is the chocolate and cream colourway. The little girl is a Hanglar image. The tiny blossoms are cream and although you can't see the cream background very well because the light is bad at the moment, it does match beautifully really!! The chocolate is a PP solid colour and the edge is done with the MS valentine lace border punch.

Never Ending card

I just had to have a go at making one of these. I made mine using double sided printed card from PP in the all washed out set and used the best fishes image. It would take too many photos to show you it opened out in every way but it is such a clever idea. Kids would love it and it would make a lovely keepsake if made for a wedding with different messages in it.

Happy 17th birthday Laura

Today is Laura's 17th birthday and her main present from her Dad & I were personalised number plates for her car - she was so surprised as she had chosen them over a year ago and really wanted them and thought she was going to have to save up! Her Dad put them on her car for her too and she spent the day here with all of us and her boyfriend and we had a nice lunch followed by a Thorntons chocolate cake which Liam enjoyed as you can see!!! We are taking her out to her favourite Italian restaurant this evening so this should round off a lovely day for her.

Laura's 17th

I cannot believe my tiny baby girl is 17 this Thursday! My tiny 'bag of sugar size' baby who fought hard for her life is now a beautiful young woman, Happy Birthday my sweet, darling girl. I hope you get all you wish for.

For me it is a question of where did all those years go?! I didn't really think I would be sitting here facing my 50th birthday in a couple of months and it all makes me feel very old! Still I do sometimes look at my children and get this lovely warm feeling and feel very proud that "I did all that" because for the most part it was just me and they turned out ok even if I do say so myself!! Mind you lots of other people have said that to me over the years and it is things like that which really fulfil me. I may not have achieved much in my life but I feel very blessed and very lucky to have 5 such wonderful kids and consider them all my very best achievement.

Back to the card!!! I made this cute pop up card and decorated it with a PP Frilly Milly and some punched flowers, jewels and a bit of embossing. An SU tab punch for the bit to pull as it folds completely flat to go in an envelope, very clever idea - sorry can't remember where I saw it!

Further update on Katie

Everyone has been so kind I felt I must let you all know the latest news. Well they finally gave her anti-emetic meds yesterday but she had to go back on the drip. She had a bag of normal fluid and one with potassium and Louise said she is like a different child, brighter and chatty and she ate some chips from McDonald's last night!! They did say she could have whatever she wanted and just like a typical 5 yr old she said 'chips' - never thinking she would eat them but she tucked right in! Fingers crossed this continues and she improves enough to be let home. Thanks for all your kind thoughts and good wishes.

Katie's Get Well Card

For my little darling who is ill in hospital. This little girl reminds me of her so much! Inspired by Dawny P - thanks hunny! I cut the card out on the Cricut using George. The papers are PP and swirl is K&Co felt fusion - not sure about that but wanted a swirl and haven't got my home accents cart yet! Coloured with copics and promarkers.

Update on Katie

Just an update on Katie. She is still in hospital, still spiking a fever and vomiting They are repeating bloods today and urine test and she may have to go back on the drip as she cannot keep enough fluid down. My daughter (and all of us) are worried sick. We are not allowed to visit as she is in isolation. Louise says it is so violent whatever has got hold of her. I just want to go and cuddle her.

A thought for Katie

My darling Grandaughter Katie has just been admitted to hospital. She has been very poorly being unable to keep anything down and has been put on a drip. Liam was poorly with it a few days ago but seemed to cope with it, but she hasn't and looked so awful earlier. I just spoke to her and told her how brave she is and how when she is better I will take her shopping and buy her a present, but it just made her cry even more! Her Mum had exactly the same thing happen to her when she was about 3 and it is so worrying. Please remember her in your prayers. Thank you.

Another scrapbook page

I had the boys this afternoon and Liam was so tired bless him - he is such a lovely natured little boy and played for ages but really needed to sleep so I stood and rocked him and sang 'Iggle Piggle' and he fell fast asleep on me so Laura took a photo and I had to scrap it for his book. I love the way he cuddles in and clings on, you have to make the most of these cuddles while they are small - my 2 older grandsons are 10 and 11 and just about tolerate the odd kiss now!! My Katie still loves a cuddle with Nanna though!

Easter card

I know it is quite a way away still but I received my new CD of papers from Wild Rose called Spring and I had to use them. Duck is a huggie image.

Sarah Kay First Kiss

I love this image so much and these papers are really rich although the photo doesn't do them justice as the light is poor at this time of day. This would have looked lovely with a trim of valentines lace but my punch hasn't arrived yet!

Jungle birthday card

Made quickly this afternoon for my daughter to give to a neighbour's little boy who is 1 at the weekend. Crafters Companion 'Boys' cd with matching insert and envelope. The wood frame is cut on the cricut from the Pooh cart.

Scrapbook page

Those pictures are just crying out to be scrapbooked so I did the first of the pages.

Liam at Adventure Playland

My daughter took Liam to his first adventure playland yesterday with his little friend Lucy - you wouldn't believe he is only 9 months old from these pictures, he is very adventurous! I love the one of them both in their little cars, it is like Lucy is saying "it's in the boot"!!! Also the one of both of them crawling along and the 'No Adults' sign is a hoot!!
