My beautiful Grandchildren.

Excuse a proud Nanna moment but I spent the day today with all 4 of my beautiful Grandchildren and we don't often see William (my middle Grandson) and it was lovely to get a picture of them all together. Little Liam loves his big cousin too!

I passed!

I passed my theory exam for my nail tech qualification today!! Only 4 more weeks and 4 full sets and 4 rebalances with before and after photos for my portfolio and then an assessment using my model to do a 'live' set and rebalance at the end of November and I should get my certificate!!

Hope you have a great day!

I bought this digi kit from Shabby Princess and have made a calendar as a gift for my eldest daughter for Christmas. It is gorgeous and I may even make one for myself! I am going to use the BIA to put it all together.

Hope you have a great day!

My nail course

Well the first 3 days went ok but on day 3 I was ready to give up I just couldn't get the hang of it. Laura came in with me to be my model and I had to do my first full set on her. I went for it and actually didn't do bad! She is now sporting a nice set of permanent french acrylic nails and is thrilled with them! Small pic above. I should have taken a before pic, doh! They are not perfect but pretty good for my first set. I have tons of practice to do and study for my theory exam and hopefully I will pass, get my certificate and then be let loose on anyone who wants me to do their nails!!! I have a few willing victims in the family and hopefully will be able to do mine myself soon.

Hope you have a great day!

Safmat and Letraline

No I am not speaking a foreign language!! I have just discovered the delights of Safmat which is "An acid free, self-adhesive, transparent film for use with your desktop printer. Safmat film is virtually invisible when applied, so only your printed text or image can be seen!" This is ideal for printing text on and then you can place it where ever you like.

and Letraline tape -

"Fed up with getting into a tangle with glue and strips of coloured tape?

With Letraset’s Letraline, crisp sharp edges are no longer a problem. Letraline Flex-a-Tape is great for creating consistent controlled curves as well as perfectly straight, matt coloured lines
" This is far easier to control than peel off strips!!

Both fantastic aids to card making and available from Letraset - the clever people who make those fab Promarkers - try some!!!

Hope you have a great day!

Liam watching Mr Tumble

I have Liam for a couple of hours this morning as my daughter is in work to get back into the swing before she starts again in January. I bought him this little low chair yesterday so he can sit with his brother and sister and watch CBeebies which he loves!! He was just watching Mr Tumble and started laughing - soooo cute!!!!!!

Hope you have a great day!

I am one proud Mummy!!

Laura started college several weeks ago and because she was home educated and had no GCSE's, they put her on a BTEC level 1 in Health & Social Care although at the interview the guy did say he thought she was too bright for it and may well be moved up and skip a year as in his experience home educated children do far better. Laura has gone every day, done every bit of work and although she really wanted to move up resigned herself to completing her first year and then moving up. However today she was taken out of lesson to meet with the Public Services tutors and they have offered her a place on a Level 2 Public Services course!! She was thrilled and we are so proud of her. She starts tomorrow, fingers crossed for her. She does love a challenge though so I am sure she will rise to the occasion!!

Hope you have a great day!

Have you seen the new Cricut releases?

Firstly this great emboss folder kit that you can cut any images with in either the original Cricut or the Expression using the plastic sheet and then pop them into a folder and emboss in your cuttlebug! Also the new deep cut housing and blade enabling you to cut up to 1.5mm thick - so chipboard, the new magnet material and vinyl will be a doddle! Plus the new Disney Cars and Tinkerbell & Friends and Sesame Street cartridge releases!

My shopping list for Florida has just increased!!!

Hope you have a great day!
