Liam on Christmas Day

We bought him this fab little walker with a detachable activity centre on and he loved it, would not leave it alone and actually pulled himself up on it to stand!!

I have yet another bloomin cold as did everyone else over Christmas including poor little Liam, roll on sunshine and warm days I say!

Hope you all had a good Christmas.

Holiday tree Bundt pan

I just happened to catch Nigella's Christmas on BBC2 on Tuesday night and saw her making a fabulous vanilla cake in one of these pans and I want one!! It looked so pretty dusted in icing sugar and so festive, the kids would love it as an alternative Christmas cake. Everywhere is sold out because of her programme and book but I did manage to find a tea cake and candy mould which makes 30 small Bundt shaped cakes. I have put the holiday tree pan on my shopping list for America as they are made out there and will have to wait until next year to use it!!

Hope you have a great day!

A Christmas chuckle for you!

Two little peggies!!

My daughter took this of Liam a few days ago, proudly showing off his 2 front teeth!! I am suffering (again!) from another bout of the lurgy and this certainly made me feel better!!

Burst of creativity!!

I had a burst of creativity yesterday and it has continued today so I quickly made these cute little cd tree hangers for the children to put on their tree. Used Nitwit digi kits and old cd's!!

I also did some blue glitter tips on Louise's nails yesterday as she is going to a wedding reception tonight and is wearing an electric blue top with bling that I gave her so we thought we would co-ordinate her nails!!

Hope you have a great day!

Black and silver foil nails

Got a bit adventurous today and managed to do my own nails at last!! It is SO hard to do your right hand with your left when you are right handed!!! I decided to paint them black and then put silver foiling on the top. I quite like them for a change.

Hope you have a great day!

A black cat, a red devil and a pirate!

My eldest daughter took Laura and the kids trick or treating last night. It was manic trying to get them to stand still to take photos so I only managed 2 that are any good. Laura and Liam and Liam and Ryan - love this one it looks as if Liam is saying to his big brother - "ssshhh, it's my turn"!!!

Hope you have a great day - I get to pick my new car up this afternoon and am so excited - it seems like I have been waiting ages since ordering it but it is only about 5 weeks and that includes the plate transfer so it's not bad really but I am so impatient!!
I will share pics later!

My beautiful Grandchildren.

Excuse a proud Nanna moment but I spent the day today with all 4 of my beautiful Grandchildren and we don't often see William (my middle Grandson) and it was lovely to get a picture of them all together. Little Liam loves his big cousin too!

I passed!

I passed my theory exam for my nail tech qualification today!! Only 4 more weeks and 4 full sets and 4 rebalances with before and after photos for my portfolio and then an assessment using my model to do a 'live' set and rebalance at the end of November and I should get my certificate!!

Hope you have a great day!

My nail course

Well the first 3 days went ok but on day 3 I was ready to give up I just couldn't get the hang of it. Laura came in with me to be my model and I had to do my first full set on her. I went for it and actually didn't do bad! She is now sporting a nice set of permanent french acrylic nails and is thrilled with them! Small pic above. I should have taken a before pic, doh! They are not perfect but pretty good for my first set. I have tons of practice to do and study for my theory exam and hopefully I will pass, get my certificate and then be let loose on anyone who wants me to do their nails!!! I have a few willing victims in the family and hopefully will be able to do mine myself soon.

Hope you have a great day!
