Well Christmas is over, thank goodness as my daughter and grandchildren were ill all day Christmas Day and my daughter still is, poor thing. In between running up and down stairs to her I have managed to make a birthday card! Inspiration from Becky Stewart on Pink Petticoat & using all PP papers.

I have to share this diamond of a find with you

I was at a class at Crafts U Love recently and saw one of these dinky little fine tip glue applicators that Wendy had. I ordered 2 and they have just arrived, they are fantastic! You can get them from here they come with a pin and they also sell spare pins for the top which stops the glue drying out.

Louise's birthday

4 of my 5 children have birthdays in early Jan and Feb so I am going to be busy making cards!!! This is for my eldest DD who is 29 on 4th Jan.
I used Designer Digitals digi papers and doodles and a digi stamp for the 'truly unique' and the frame is from 'I made this today'.

21st Birthday card for Sarah

Sarah (my son's girlfriend) is 21 on New Years Day and he asked me to make him a card. I thought black and white is nice and modern and fresh. The greetings circle and the flowers were all cut with the Cricut Expressions.

I used some yummy chipboard letters on the edge of this card and the left over waste snowflakes stencil pattern from the paint pail!

My Nestabilities have arrived!!

Wow and what a lot I got! I bought the whole set of each shape, circle, square, rectangle and oval because I know I will use them.

Red & White snowflake

Made with the 2 SU punches stuck onto vellum and glittered and Cuttlebug snowflakes and stars added.

Paint Pail

I made this gorgeous little paint pail at Crafts U Love with the lovely Wendy Horrod last night. We had a fab class and she is such a talented lady. Don't you just love these?!

Oh dear more spending...

.... but I just HAD to have these! The tote is so cool, it has a lazy susan bottom that attaches with a magnet so that it spins around on the work surface, great for classes! The desktop carousel is just what I have been looking for and will keep everything within easy reach. Aren't they cute?!!

Papertrey Border stamps

I got 4 sets of these gorgeous acrylic stamps this morning from here and they stamp beautifully and fit the punches just right. The tiny little stamps in the sets are just right for stamping into the scallops of a shape and the possibilities with these sets are just endless. They also come in lovely packaging and have a clear CD jewel case to store them in, can you tell I love them?!!

On Saturday evening I was just going out to watch my son's band play and I fell down the stairs. I badly hurt my back and have been housebound for the last 2 days. I think it is slowly improving though and I should be able to drive soon hopefully.

I LOVE these Nestabilities

I got my first set yesterday - the geometric shapes and they are fabulous. They make matting and layering so easy and effective.

Nestabilities dies

I have been pondering over getting these and have today succumbed to the squares, circles, rectangles and ovals, plain and scalloped. I love the embossed edge on them and although I have all the punches they are not always big enough for what I want and the Cricut carts I have only cut basic shapes - well those are my reasons and I am sticking to them!!! I got mine from here.

Snowflake Tag card

The snowflake is made from tag shapes stuck down onto vellum and then trimmed into shape. The papers are PP and the embossing is cuttlebug.

My daughter is throwing a baby shower for her friend this weekend and I was inspired by PP to make this card for her, so it is all PP papers, images etc. and coloured in DIP.

Suspension card

With thanks to Shary for the tips - here it is!! PP papers and greeting and stamped angels cut out and coloured in with twinkling H2O's. The middle circle spins around and there is another angel on the other side!

Pink Petticoat Christmas

I have finally managed to work out how to colour in these images in PSP with a little help from a pal! Added a touch of Sakura stardust pens too. All Pink Petticoat and the greeting is attached with my paper tagger and a mini bulldog clip from Making Memories - cute!

OK I have given in to demands

to sell my cards!! I have had a couple of successful commissions with very positive feedback and my kids keep nagging me to sell them so I have another blog now here which I will put on my card labels so people can contact me via that if they want a custom made card. We'll see how it goes but my son's work colleagues have expressed great interest and so have my eldest daughter's and she has bought some cards at work before so I know what sort of quality and price I am up against!

Ticket corner punch idea

These are very much 'in vogue' at the moment and I have been searching for one but it seems only the American SU company do them. So I set about thinking how could I get the same effect and it is so easy it was staring me in the face. Just use a small round punch, the one I used was 1/2 inch but depending how big you want the inverted bit you can push the corner further in or use a larger punch. Just place the very tip of the corner of your paper/card into the upturned punch, centre it and punch. Voila - one trendy ticket corner!!

I've just won a competition!!

To be published in Crafts Beautiful magazine!! I get a half page spread, my photo, pics of my card and my instructions printed. This was the card I won with. Wow I would never have believed it!!

A couple of accordian fold christmas cards

I used a Bella for one and just some different sized trees for the other.

Laura met some of the Strictly Come Dancing people!!

Laura went to a dance class last night. She LOVES dancing, it is in her blood. Her paternal Grandmother was a professional dancer and she went with her Aunt to the Fairfield Halls last night to a class. They are run by some of the Strictly Come Dancing people and she got to meet Karen and Vincent. She had such a whale of a time. Her Dad sneaked in the picture with Karen.

They are only camera phone pics so not very good I am afraid.

I haven't digi scrapped for ages and now with my 4th grandchild on the way thought I must start again. So what better to start with than our wonderful Florida holiday in March this year. This is the first page, our day at Discovery Cove. The most wonderful experience ever, the interaction and swim with the dolphins.

Shaped Greetings punchouts tutorial

I have been asked to write a tutorial on how to make these so I have done one!! I used Microsoft Digital Image Pro and the step by step photos are here if anyone wants to try it out.

The shapes are designed to fit Woodware punches and the oval one can be seen layered with a larger punch on yesterdays card posted.

I have made a tutorial to do this in Word if anyone is interested, just email me
